Many CBDs you'll find on the market have limited healing potency because they are sourced from hemp. In 1997, Robin Swan, chief alchemist for Firebird Touch Therapy, was compelled to create a massage oil that would address the needs of her clients suffering from chronic pain, because there was nothing else available that would suffice.
Like so many times before, Robin looked to her maternal grandmother’s recipe book. What she found was a recipe for what her Nana called “Bhang Holy Oil.” Robin had never heard of the herb “bhang,” so her Auntie Arpanok told her that bhang was the Persian word for Cannabis.
She also shared that it was the sacred holy anointing oil of the Sumerians and that the recipe had repeated itself throughout time, including the anointing oil Jesus used to wash the feet of his disciples.
Robin’s auntie reminded her of all the times her Nana had used the oil on her. Nevart, her nana, used Bhange Oil to treat everyone; healing infant to elder. The special combination of herbs and steeping time, made Nevart’s Bhang Oil very powerful.

Between 2005 and 2007, nine of lead alchemist Robin Swan's family members died from various forms of cancer.
As a holistic health practitioner who has spent her lifetime learning about alternative forms of healing, she was at a loss as to what to do. She had been raised in the cannabis industry and she was well aware of all of the medicinal components of the plant for things like glaucoma and depression and nausea.
Swan's grandmothers and aunties had been making tincture and balms with the plant materials for her entire life, which eased the pain, but not the suffering and death.
Swan found extraction, a way of processing the plant that kept the molecular structure in tack. It activated the endocannabinoid system and repaired not only the mylene sheath of the nerve; the THC actually ate the tumors!
